Community Impact

Putting Your Support to Work
Every dollar raised by HJWL goes right back into our community. Each year, we award grants to local organizations doing meaningful work for children in the greater Holland area — from basic needs and education to mentorship and enrichment. Since our founding, HJWL members have collectively invested hundreds of thousands of dollars into programs that give local kids a stronger foundation and a brighter future.


How We Choose Who We Fund
We take our grant process seriously, because the children we serve deserve nothing less. Each year, HJWL accepts grant applications from charitable organizations throughout the greater Holland area. Our members personally interview each applicant, asking the hard questions and digging into the details — because we want to make sure every dollar we award makes a real difference in a child's life.
