Did you know?... In 2022, HJWL granted
$75,000 to help over 8,000 local children!
In the Holland area, approximately 11% of kids 18 and under are living in poverty. Their basic needs such as food, clothing, and shelter are unmet. For kids not living in poverty, they may not have access to educational resources, medical care, or mentoring programs that could help them thrive and grow.
Holland Junior Welfare League's annual grant process allows HJWL to allocate funds to organizations and programs that may have the most significant influence and impact on the life of a child and the greater Holland community. See Impact for a list of organizations HJWL has awarded grants request to help local kids.
With volunteers, fundraising, and donations from local businesses and HJWL Alumnae, HJWL is able to give back to kids at-risk in the greater Holland, MI, community through area organizations focused on improving the welfare of children. Children are the future and communities' greatest resource. By investing in local kids today, we are securing the future of the Holland community for tomorrow.
